At NextGen Investing Summer Camp, we offer a hands-on, interactive introduction to the stock market designed just for middle school students. Instead of boring lectures, students learn by doing—making decisions, competing in games, and thinking like real investors. Throughout the week, campers will discover how the stock market actually works, what makes a company strong, and how to decide whether a stock is worth buying. Using a realistic investment simulator, students will build and manage their own portfolios, compete in daily challenges, and earn prizes by making smart investing choices. Students will also learn how to read real financial statements—like income statements and balance sheets—so they can understand how companies make money, grow, and manage risk. These skills help turn confusing numbers into clear, confident decisions. By the end of camp, each student will independently research real companies, build a complete investment portfolio for a real-world scenario, and present their strategy to the class. Top-performing portfolios will earn awards, and every student will walk away with stronger confidence, sharper thinking skills, and a solid foundation in financial literacy.
